Earlier, KKR themselves were bowled out for 169 runs, with Venkatesh Iyer (70) and Manish Pandey (42) being their top scorers. Jasprit Bumrah was the standout bowler for MI, claiming three wickets in his quota of 4 overs.
This defeat marked yet another setback for MI in their ongoing IPL 2024 campaign. The team has been plagued by inconsistency throughout the season and currently finds themselves languishing in ninth place on the points table, with their playoff hopes hanging by a thread.
