The trailer is compelling, highlighting the rise of the formidable antagonist Sauron, portrayed by Charlie Vickers, in the Second Age of Middle-earth. Disguised as an elf, Sauron aids Celebrimbor, played by Charles Edwards, in crafting the iconic rings of power. The landscape is fraught with menacing creatures, including orcs, creeping tree vines, and a sinister morass of wormy goo, casting a shadow over the once pristine land. Season 1 favourites such as Galadriel, portrayed by Morfydd Clark, and Elrond, played by Robert Aramayo, prepare for battle alongside new characters like Arondir, portrayed by Ismael Cruz Cordova, and Isildur, played by Maxim Baldry.
